Dr Slabisak told me that my L4/L5 back surgery had not resulted in bone regeneration. As a result he recommended an ALIF procedure where he enters through my stomach, inserts a larger cage attached to my spine. My operation is scheduled for Nov 8, 2023. I am WORRIED about this. How do we know that regeneration will occur using this method. I do not know what I did that stopped bone growth. I know that my left hip still has a lot of soreness. I worry about the hospital stay. During my last hospital stay I tried to follow my normal medication routine - only take 2 325 Tylenol every 4 hours. Well nurses during the night would try to give me other medication which I would not take. Will my medication change for this procedure? I need for Dr Slabisak to explain what medication I will need during my hospital stay so I can discuss this with Dr Barnes, my liver doctor who basically determines which medications I can take because of my level 4 cirrhosis of the liver which occurred because of transfusions after automobile accident in 1967. I need to talk to Dr Slabisak about this. Thanks - Mary Lempert

There is not a better surgeon than Dr. Slabisak! He is an amazing doctor and listens to all of your issues before coming up with the perfect solution. I drive 5 hours each way to see the doctors in this office and it's worth every minute of it.

The experience was excellent. My care was superb and the therapy which followed surgery is progressing well.
Dr Banerjee is a well trained and attentive doctor who is direct with his evaluation of the surgery and discussing recuperation time expected.
The staff is attentive and I couldn’t be happier with the care provided.

Unfortunately the shot I received as of this time didn’t take care of the pain. He said it might not. I will wait another week and if pain still there will call to set up an injection appointment.
